Local Train Ride : Recently my family and i took a short 2 1/2 train ride through the countryside. For small children it was a very exciting trip. The price was just right and it was the perfect weekend excursion. For just $12 per adult and $9.00 per child it was a great deal. My kids loved it, especially blowing the whistle. The train leaves uniontown at 11 am or 2 pm and. There are 2 stops on the train, one in shady grove where they have a really nice big public swimming pool and the other stop is in dunbar. then you head back to uniontown. The best thing to do is to catch the 11 am train and walk around exploring dunbar then catch the later train back to uniontown. Coming up on Saturday, 9-30-06 Dunbar is having a huge community fest. this would be a perfect time for a train ride with the leaves starting to change color, and dunbar should have some good food and entertainment.
